What a shame! The design of this tool is excellent! The handle yields a good comfortable grip, and the head shape is absolutely wonderful, making the tool useful as either a hoe or a cultivator. Unfortunately, it is made of aluminum, which means that the hoe edge will always be dull. I haven't tackled "tough" roots like the previous reviewer, so I cannot comment on the tool's durability. Here's what would be terrific: if Corona were to retain the design but, rather than aluminum, use forged steel (or even stainless steel), for the head, it would be an awesome tool. As quality garden hand tools go, this one is really cheap. But I would pay a lot more for one with a steel head rather than aluminum.

I used this tool for awhile and really liked it. As soon as I got to a tough weed, one of the prongs broke on it. Luckily it has a lifetime guarantee because it is supposed to be 'unbreakable' However, don't be fooled. This tool is best for light garden work, not for tough soil or stubborn weeds.
